At our 3-star family hotel in beautiful Salzburger Land, the youngsters play a big role – this is where kids get to be kids! 

Our delightful family hotel lies between the Dachstein and Radstädter Tauern, in the heart of the major ski regions of Schladming-Dachstein and Ski amadé. In the magical mountain village of Forstau, right next to the piste and valley station at the Fageralm – just 50 steps from the hotel to the chairlift! 
 
In summer, our hotel is transformed into a land of adventure. 
On the big playground and in the petting zoo, there is much to discover. Our children's program is "unique, honest, yet never goes overboard". And while the kids are experiencing all kinds of beautiful and exciting things, you, dear parents, can sit out in the garden terrace or enjoy a few hours of freedom just to yourselves. 
 
Due to our sunny and detached location, everything is safe and easy to keep an eye on.

The beautifully maintained pistes of the magical Fageralm are still very much an insider tip. Skiing in nature with your whole family: That's what our local ski area is all about. Even during high season and the major holiday periods, the Fageralm never gets overcrowded and is safe for everyone.

Leading the ponies, pony rides, chatting with the animals in the petting zoo, hee-hawing for all their worth with the donkeys, taking a regal ride on the horse-drawn carriage, our "road train" or the tractor, pulling their own breakfast egg out of the nest, baking bread or pizza, playing without a care in the world next to a babbling stream, hide-and-seek inside the wooden teepee, grilling hot dogs over a campfire… It definitely won't take long for the kids to forget their smartphones – while their parents can inhale the clean air, drink clear tap water, occasionally celebrate with a drop of the "good stuff" out of the cellar, and above all, leave the stresses of daily life far behind.

Even though, here with us, you will be staying right next to the piste in a conveniently central location, your family holiday in the Austrian Alps is still certain to be very peaceful. Our family-friendly hotel lies in Salzburger Land, in the middle of Ski amadé, promising 760 km of pure skiing enjoyment right on the border with the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region. This is also a regular mecca for big-name international sports stars: Alpine Ski World Championships in Schladming, Nordic Ski World Championships in Ramsau am Dachstein, Special Olympics in Schladming are just a few of the top events. In addition, the cultural metropolis of Salzburg is only about one hour's drive away.

With prices that are per room rather than per person, we definitely cater to the needs of families. We also avoid surcharges during peak seasons (for the most part, when you are likely to take your holidays!). 

The pistes of the Fageralm, a very cool and natural family ski area in Schladming-Dachstein, begin right next to our hotel. And thanks to our children's program in summer, for the most part kids will completely forget their beloved smartphones – while their parents are able to inhale the clean air, drink clear tap water, occasionally celebrate with a drop of the "good stuff" out of the cellar, and above all, leave the stresses of daily life far behind.
