Children's Program
During our children's program, you, dear parents, will have all the space you could wish for to catch up on those things that tend to get neglected during the daily routine back home. That said, some of our adventures are also intended to be enjoyed together. The petting zoo is located right here at the hotel. Which means, parents get to enjoy a cup of coffee on the garden terrace, while their children are playing with the animals just a few meters away. The play area around the hotel is fenced in during the summer.
Our philosophy is all about bringing families together, rather than dividing them.
Giant sandbox
Digging, bulldozing, building sand castles… there are no limits to kids' creativity.
Giant trampoline
Jump as hiiiiigh as you can, all the way up to the mountains themselves.
Bouncy castle
From time to time, we blow up our giant bouncy castle, so that you can jump and play to your heart's content.
Grilling around the campfire
With rocks, pine cones, roots and lots more, we will build a dam in the stream. When we're done, we'll go ahead and grill hot dogs and potatoes over an open fire. Meanwhile, mom and dad get to enjoy half-board at the hotel.
Tractor rides
Once a week, Franz will take the kids for a tour on the "Unterreith Express" through our beautiful village of Forstau in Salzburg.
Giant climbing frame
Just above our playgrounds is a giant climbing ball. Children, bigger and smaller, can clamber safely inside this climbing ball made with strong ropes.
Baking pizza
Pull on an apron and put a chef's hat on your head, then you're ready to get started: roll out your own pizza dough, add your personal toppings, then gobble up the most delicious pizza of your life for dinner – now that's what we call fun!
Bake bread with grandma Resch
Grandma will make the dough together with the children and explain the ingredients, then the youngsters will get to knead and shape their own bread. When it comes out of the oven, they will be able to eat it right then and there, or take it with them to enjoy for breakfast.
Pony rides
Pony rides with Yuki and carriage rides with Amigo: Together with our Oberreith horses, we will enjoy a relaxed ride alongside the Forstaubach or through woodlands close to the stream – our donkey "Prinz" generally gets to come along as well.
Petting zoo
An opportunity to experience the animals up close. Our ponies Amigo and Yuki, our donkey Prinz, rabbits, hens, cats, goats and sheep are all just waiting to be fed, petted, admired and photographed by you.
Playground at our family Hotel
Located right next to the terrace is our playground with a curvy slide, small playhouse, swings and a special "nest swing", along with a small sandpit. That way, parents will always be able to keep a close eye on their youngsters.
Playroom
So that we are also equipped for bad weather, we built a new playroom in the hotel for children in autumn 2024.
Family hiking day
Depending on the weather and the children's ages, Franz will select a suitable route for a family hike.
Go-Carts, tricycles, …
For all our little speed demons, we have a fleet of go-carts, tricycles, BMX bikes and much more.
Torchlight hike
After a short ride on our "Unterreith Express", as it gets dark we will light up our lanterns and torches, then enjoy a walk through the forest back to the hotel.
A night in a teepee or in the hay
Every now and then, your children are welcome to spend a night sleeping in the hay or in a teepee. Franz will tell them a few (fun) ghost stories from Salzburg and the kids are sure to have a great time.
Alpine breakfast
1x a week there is the alpine breakfast on the Falhausalm. We start with a common drive to the alpine pasture area, only 15 minutes away by car. After a 30-minute guided hike we reach the alp. There a delicious traditional farmer's breakfast awaits us. Enjoy homemade bread, fresh butter, delicious jam, hearty cheese and bacon directly from the farm.
There is much to discover on site.

Face painting
For many of our guest children, this is an absolute must – Michaela will paint the kids' faces – with their own favorite design.
